Kieran Morris returns to Stourbridge

Kieran Morris returns to Stourbridge

Nigel Gregg22 Feb 2020 - 10:33

The Glassboys are pleased to welcome back central defender KIERAN MORRIS, who has signed from Coalville Town.

Kieran came through the Stourbridge youth ranks under Dave King's stewardship and represented England Schools. His performances were noted by Brentford who signed him as a teenager in the summer of 2013. He played for their under 21 side and he impressed sufficiently to win another one-year contract ahead of the 2014/15 season. In December 2014 he returned to Stourbridge on loan and spent two months back at the War Memorial Athletic Ground before being recalled and then loaned out again to Maidenhead United.

After being released in the summer of 2015 he joined Worcester City on trial in pre-season and earned himself a deal in the process. After a bright start a broken hand led to a spell on the side-lines and after making a comeback he was loaned out to Rushall Olympic in January 2016 for the remainder of the season. He was back at Worcester City for the start of the 2016/17 campaign, but in early October 2016 he joined Stafford Rangers on dual registration before cutting his ties with Worcester two months later. Some fine displays for Neil Kitching’s side led him to sign for Leamington in the summer of 2018, however after failing to win a regular starting berth with the Brakes he moved on to Halesowen Town in September 2018. Following the Yeltz relegation at the end of last season he joined Hednesford ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, but following the recent upheaval at the Staffordshire side he opted to join Coalville early in January 2020, however the Dudley-based 24-year old has now agreed a return to the War Memorial Ground.

In terms of appearances made at step 3 or above, Kieran, along with Sam Rock and Jordan Murphy, can be considered amongst the most successful of the players to have emerged through our youth ranks over the years!

Welcome back @Kieran_Morris26
