Justin ruptured his patella tendon on each knee when he landed awkwardly during stoppage time. The tendon attaches at the bottom of the kneecap to the top of the shinbone, and the patella is attached to the quadriceps.
Justin's left knee was the worst affected as his kneecap had moved upwards towards his quadricep. In both cases he was unable to straighten his legs.
Justin was operated on in Crewe during a 45-minute operation to repair the damage, and is now walking on crutches.
On behalf of all at Stourbridge FC, we would like to wish Justin a full recovery, although we understand that it is unlikely to be a quick one.
We would also like to thank the medical staff at Nantwich Town FC for their assistance in treating Justin alongside our own Richard Drewett.
