We are delighted to welcome Jordaan Brown back to the War Memorial Athletic Ground for the season ahead.

The strong, powerful defender needs no introduction to the Glassboys faithful, having enjoyed a three year spell with us between 2018 and 2021 where he quickly became a fans favourite at the club.

The London born 32 year old started his career at AFC Wimbledon before leaving for Chipstead Town in order to gain more experience in mens football. After impressing at Chipstead, he moved to the conference south with Staines Town where, similarly to his time with us, he quickly became a fans favourite and was an important part of the side which reached the first round proper of the FA Cup and narrowly missed out on the play offs.

After two enjoyable years with The Swans, he opted to move to Finland in 2014 where the opportunity to play for VPS in the top flight of Finnish football. He would also make his Europa League debut for the side against Swedish club Brommapojkarna in a game which they won 2-1.

He returned to England in 2016 and signed for Hayes & Yeading for a short time before relocating to the West Midlands where he linked up with Redditch United before settling at Stafford Rangers. A string of impressive performances followed and he picked up managers player of the season, players player of the season and supporters player of the season during the 2017/18 campaign.

At the start of the 2018/19 campaign he made the switch to the Glassboys under Gary Hackett. His immense performances continued as he became an important part of our defence and he would pick up the Committee Player of the Year and Players Player.

After the two covid impacted seasons, Jordaan linked up with Tamworth FC for the majority of the 2021/22 campaign before moving to Rushall Olympic in March. He quickly became an ever present in the Pics back line and was an important part of the side that won the play-offs and secured promotion to the National League North. He continued to impress as the club successfully fought to retain their National League status last season and was amongst their presentation evening award winners for both the players player and supporters player awards.

Welcome back to the Glassboys, Jordaan!
