Stourbridge are delighted to announce the signing of experienced defender Martin Riley on contract terms from Hereford FC.
The 33-year-old started his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers before signing for Shrewsbury Town in 2008.
Riley had two spells under current Stour boss Mark Yates with Kidderminster Harriers and Cheltenham Town after departing the Shrews, before joining Mansfield Town in 2011 where he featured in the Stags’ Conference Play-Off Semi-Final defeat at the hands of York City.
He then joined Wrexham in July 2012, and won his first major honour in March 2013 when the Welsh outfit beat Grimsby Town on penalties in the FA Trophy Final at Wembley.
A second spell with Mansfield Town in League Two beckoned for the Wolverhampton-born stopper, before spending the 2015-16 campaign with Tranmere Rovers in the National League.
He has since had spells with Halifax Town and Alfreton Town ahead of playing the 2019-20 season at Edgar Street.
