The 27 year old departed Kidderminster Harriers in January this year, and has been a free agent since leaving Aggborough before linking up with Mark Yates' new look squad yesterday afternoon.

Stourbridge-born Peniket represented Wales up to under-21 level, and started his senior career with Fulham after coming through the junior ranks at Walsall.

He spent several loan spells away from Craven Cottage to gain experience before eventually returning North to the Midlands on a permanent basis with Tamworth in the Conference Premier.

The 6ft 3ins. forward then furthered his career with FC Halifax Town, before spells with Gateshead and Alfreton Town respectively.

Speaking to StourbridgeFC.com having signed on the dotted line on Thursday afternoon alongside the returning Greg Mills, Peniket says it's a relief to sort out his future and concentrate on the new season.

"I'm delighted to be here - this is my home town club," he said.

"I decided to take some time out from the game to let my body fully recover from cumulative injury issues at Kidderminster.

"To be honest, I feel like I made the correct decision, and I'm feeling great at the moment from a physical point of view.

"I'm looking forward to getting a strong pre-season under my belt, and I'm hoping for a strong year for the team, as well as on a personal level," he added.
