Aaron Hayden arrives on loan as Matt Dodd departs for Leamington

The Glassboys have bolstered their defensive ranks with the signing of centre-back AARON HAYDEN on loan from Wolves. (READ ON)

His initial loan period runs until 17th March.

Aaron is a Croydon-born 21-year old centre-back who was originally at Chelsea's academy before becoming a scholar at Wolves when aged 16 and later signing professional terms in March 2015.

He enjoyed a loan spell at Newport County in League Two at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, making his league debut against Cambridge United on the opening day of the season.

In 2016/17 he had a loan stint with Hemel Hempstead Town during the first half of the season and then in January 2017 he joined Bromley on loan, but had to return to Wolves soon afterwards after picking up an injury in a behind closed doors friendly without making a competitive appearance for the National League outfit.

He joined AFC Telford on loan at the start of the current season before returning to Wolves last month.

With Jack Duggan currently struggling with injury, Aaron will strengthen our available options at the back.

We have today bade farewell to pacey winger MATT DODD who has completed a move back to LEAMINGTON FC, where he previously spent three years before signing for Stourbridge in March 2015.

Since returning to the War Memorial Ground in September after a brief stint with Hednesford, the 31-year old had made 23 appearances (22 + 1 sub) and scored three times - including the winning goal in the Trophy tie at Leamington in December!

His overall record in his two spells in Stourbridge colours reads 108 appearances (97 + 11 sub), with twelve goals to his name.

We welcome Aaron to the Glassboys and wish Matt well with his new club.
