SUPPORTERS CHARTER

Welcome to the Stourbridge Football Club Supporters Charter. This document outlines the principles and commitments that guide our relationship with our supporters. We value your passion, loyalty, and support, and we are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all.

Our Commitment to Supporters
• Respect and Inclusion: We are committed to promoting respect, diversity, and inclusion within our club and among our supporters. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
• Communication: We pledge to maintain open and transparent communication with our supporters. Regular updates will be provided through our official channels.
• Fan Engagement: We will actively seek and value the input of our supporters in decision-making processes that affect the fan experience.
• Matchday Experience: We strive to provide a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming matchday experience for all supporters.

Supporters' Responsibilities
• Respect: Supporters are expected to show respect to fellow fans, players, staff, and officials at all times.
• Conduct: Supporters should conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on Stourbridge Football Club, both at home and away matches.
• Safety: Adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines is mandatory to ensure the well-being of everyone at the stadium.

Stourbridge Football Club Safeguarding Policy

1. Purpose

To ensure that all children, young people, and vulnerable adults are protected from harm and abuse while participating in activities organized by Stourbridge Football Club.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, players, parents, and spectators involved with Stourbridge Football Club.

3. Key Principles

· Safety First: The welfare of the child or vulnerable adult is paramount.

· Transparency: Clear procedures for reporting and responding to concerns.

· Accountability: All staff and volunteers are responsible for safeguarding.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

· Welfare Officer: Responsible for implementing the safeguarding policy and handling concerns.

· Staff and Volunteers: Required to follow the policy and report any concerns.

· Parents and Guardians: Must provide consent and emergency contact details for their children.

5. Code of Conduct

· Behaviour: Standards of good practice, including respect for teammates and opponents.

· Physical Contact: Guidelines on appropriate physical contact.

· Privacy: Respect for privacy and personal space.

· Social Media: Appropriate use of social media by staff, volunteers, and players.

6. Safe Recruitment

· Role Descriptions: Clear role descriptions for all positions.

· References: Request references for all staff and volunteers.

· Criminal Records Checks: Conduct checks for relevant posts.

· Training: Provide safeguarding training for all staff and volunteers.

7. Parental Consent

· Participation: Written consent required for children to participate.

· Emergency Details: Collection of emergency contact details and medical information.

8. Policy Review

· Regular Review: The policy will be reviewed annually or as needed.

· Updates: Any changes will be communicated to all relevant parties.

9. Support and Resources

· Training: Access to safeguarding training and resources.

· Guidance: Provide guidance on recognizing signs of abuse and neglect.

10. Reporting Procedures

· Immediate Danger: Call emergency services (999) if someone is in immediate danger.

· Raising Concerns: Report any concerns to the Welfare Officer or designated safeguarding lead as soon as possible.

· Initial Assessment: The Welfare Officer will conduct an initial assessment to determine the level of risk and urgency.

· Confidentiality: All reports will be handled confidentially, and information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis.

· Documentation: Complete a safeguarding concern form, providing detailed information about the incident or concern.

· Follow-Up: The Welfare Officer will follow up on the concern, coordinating with relevant authorities if necessary.

· Support: Provide support to the victim and, if appropriate, the person against whom the allegation is made.
