U18 Boys Stourbridge U18's 5-1 NWHC & Heather (MJPL)
Our first game for a month! We had trained well but started the game a bit rushed. It took Stourbridge 20 mins to calm down and start to play some good football. Josh Woodhall made a good overlapping run from left-back to cut into the box and pull the ball back for Reece Orgill to make it 1-0. NWHC had a couple of chances from corners being good ball winners in the air, but Tom Wark was on fine form to make a few quality saves to keep them out. Lewis Fearon caused a threat with his pace which he benefitted from to score twice before half time and Nathan Davies then finished the half off with a good finish from distance placed around the keeper to make it 4-0.
The second half got underway and NWHC got a goal back from a corner that found the threat of an attackers head. Stourbridge kept pushing for more goals and the chances were there, but we just failed to convert until Lewis Fearon's shot from the edge of the box got steered in from a touch from Reece Orgill.
A much needed win for Stourbridge to prepare ourselves for the cup. Man of the match Tom Wark.

U18 Boys Woodford united 4-1 Stourbridge (MJPL)
Stourbridge started and played the game with 10 men due to a number of injuries affecting the squad. Stourbridge came out though letting Woodford know that they were not going to be pushed over. The game was very even until Woodford scored direct from a free-kick. Stourbridge kept battling and earned an equaliser when Sam Dickens went one-on-one and slotted home a very neat finish so that it was 1-1 at half- time. The second half gor underway and Woodford got an early second but Stourbridge were determined to get a goal back with a few chances just being missed. Through tired legs and with us pushing for an equaliser, Woodford got a third. However it did not dampen the Stourbridge spirits, they kept plugging away until a deflected shot finished the scoring at 4-1 to Woodford. The score-line does not reflect the game, we were very strong defensively and the lads were a massive credit to Stourbridge with a real hard working performance from everyone.
