A makeshift Stourbridge defence - missing the usual presence of Craig Slater and Nathan Bennett - were well and truly taken to the cleaners by Hemel Hempstead Town who inflicted a 6 - 1 defeat on the Glassboys and they also missed a penalty too. Gary Sippetts headed the visitors in-front on 22 minutes, but Stourbridge drew level twelve minutes later through James Dyson who tapped home after a Ryan Broadhurst header had hit the crossbar. Hemel regained the lead after 37 minutes after the home side were caught napping by a quickly taken free-kick that left Chris Dillon with an easy finish. The second-half was a nightmare for the Glassboys. A Paul Edgeworth header made it 3 - 1 in the 56th minute after Lewis Solly missed a Mark Coulson corner and Nathan Bowden-Haase grabbed a fourth after 61 minutes with a strong header from a Coulson free-kick. Edgeworth missed a penalty shortly afterwards, but he quickly made amends, shooting home after good work by Adam Martin in the 67th minute and Martin himself was on target three minutes later after fastening onto a threaded pass from Dillon.
